Agile Project Manager

Job title: IT Agile Project ManagerLocation: Vienna, VirginiaRate: $60/hour on W2Type: Contract - OnsiteResponsibilities:Apply and adhere to Agile project management best practices by following the policies, procedures and methodologies established within the Scaled Agile FrameworkEnsure effective management of projects from inception through implementationCollaborate and negotiate with business partners and vendors to understand requirement needs and resolve any gaps or risks/issuesPrepare and deliver status reports regarding project objectives, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to management and stakeholdersOversee project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are following previously agreed requirements and standardsMaintain and archive all project related documentationIdentify, communicate, and resolve technical, tactical, and operational project issues and risksExhibit intellectual agility and interpersonal flexibility to reassess, reflect and shift thinking as projects or strategic direction changesMay be required to support agile team by writing backlog requirements and facilitating Scrum ceremoniesCommunicate project plan, changes, direction, approach, and priorities based on changing business requirements, circumstances, added information and/or budget considerations to stakeholdersMonitor and measure staff assignments results against project goals and task responsibilitiesBuild and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and/or external contacts (vendors, etc.)Full life-cycle project management:Establish and lead project teamsDevelop project plan/scope/schedule/cost/communicationsProcure and/or manage resources/timelines/deadlines/qualityEnsure that vendor meets or exceeds their contractual obligations by delivering quality products/services on time and within cost structureManage all fiscal management aspects of vendor delivery and provide feedback on vendor performanceEnsure successful project implementationManage project-level risks, issues, dependencies, and change managementPerform other duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:Associates degree in Information Technology, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceExperience in Agile project leadership and execution, including initiatives with technology, processes, cross-functional teams, and external partnersWorking knowledge of Agile framework methodologies, SAFe, and Scrum ceremoniesEffective skill in project management to include establishing and leading project teams, managing timelines/deadlines/resources, ensuring successful project implementation•Working knowledge of project lifecycles and development methodologies, including agile project management principles and practicesExperience in leading agile development teams and facilitating team meetings in agile environment.
