Job DescriptionShop AssemblerGreat Opportunity with Advancement Potential and Benefits with a Large, Well Established Organization-OT available-Day ShiftDo you have mechanical aptitude and some shop experience involving measuring, shipping, labeling and basic tools?This position is primarily assembling hoses along with various other shop dutiesSpecific responsibilities and authorities may include:Perform all assemblies at the highest possible level of quality.Minimize rework of assemblies.Clean all parts using solvents and other chemicals as directed in a safe manner.Maintain and care for shop tools.o Obtain all specialty tools used on the job using the methods established.Calibrate equipment as needed according to company’s procedures and work instructions.Carry out all duties and responsibilities in an ethical and conscientious manner.Support and participate in the organization’s continual improvement program and conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting Quality Management System objectives. Understand the implications of not complying with the Quality Management System.Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND TRAININGHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent secondary education.Technical school certificate or associate’s degree is considered a plus.Experience as described below may be accepted in lieu of education.EXPERIENCEHose Assembly preferred but not requiredExperience working in an ISO 9001 environment is considered a plus.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSStrong personal skills and desire for growth as an individual and technician.Good communication skills.Good, safe work habits.Strong aptitude for mechanical conversion and assembly of equipment and mechanical systems.
