Sr. Accountant
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to support a range of client engagements in Northwest Ohio. This permanent opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting specialist who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly adapt to different business needs. The person in this role will contribute to core accounting operations, strengthen financial reporting accuracy, and provide analytical insight across multiple assignments.Responsibilities:• Lead monthly and year-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results.• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining the integrity of the general ledger.• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items efficiently.• Perform bank reconciliations and validate cash activity to support accurate financial records.• Produce financial reports and supporting schedules for management review and decision-making.• Analyze accounting data and operating results to identify trends, variances, and areas requiring attention.• Support cost analysis efforts by reviewing expenses, allocations, and profitability drivers across engagements.• Contribute to special accounting projects and provide hands-on support in a variety of client environments.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Proven experience in a senior-level accounting role with responsibility for month-end close activities.• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations.• Experience completing bank reconciliations and researching variances independently.• Ability to interpret financial information and perform meaningful analytical review.• Background in cost analysis and identifying financial performance drivers.• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage shifting priorities effectively.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
