Route Delivery Driver – Food Distribution (Local) $23–$25/hour + overtime | Santa Cruz, CA Marianne’s Ice Cream is hiring a Route Delivery Driver to support our growing wholesale distribution operation during our peak season (April–September), with strong potential for permanent full-time placement based on performance. This is a structured, route-based delivery role. You will operate a Sprinter van on local routes, completing daily deliveries of ice cream to restaurants, scoop shops, and wholesale partners across Santa Cruz and the greater Bay Area. We are looking for a driver who brings professional delivery experience, consistency, and attention to detail — someone who understands how to manage a route, maintain a clean driving record, and represent a brand well loved by customers. Role Breakdown 65% driving (local delivery routes) 25% order picking & loading (freezer environment) 10% customer interaction You will be responsible for both loading your truck and delivering your route, including picking orders with accuracy. Minimum Requirements Minimum 1 year of route-based commercial delivery driving experience (app-based delivery experience (Uber, DoorDash, etc.) does not count) Valid Driver’s License & Clean Motor Vehicle Report Comfortable completing multi-stop delivery routes Ability to walk/stand and sustain physical activity for extended periods of time (8+ hours) Occasionally required to lift/push/pull up to 70 lbs Regularly grasp, carry & lift items up to 15 lbs and be able to bend/squat and lift 25 pounds from the ground Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Comfortable working in a freezer environment (note: we will provide freezer gear) Reliable and punctual Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English Applicants without relevant delivery experience will not be considered.
