Atrium is seeking on behalf of our client a Sales Assistant based in New York, NY.A background check may be run only after a conditional offer is made, where permitted by law.Position: Sales Assistant (Fashion)Location: New York, NYEmployment Type: Full-timeCompensation: Up to 75,000, with flexibility for highly experienced candidatesPosition OverviewThe Sales Assistant will provide critical support to the sales team by managing order processes, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across multiple departments. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.ResponsibilitiesRead and analyze open order reports to ensure timely fulfillment.Request and review purchase orders (POs) for accuracy and completeness.Track TOP (Top of Production) samples to meet production timelines.Send accurate order recaps to stakeholders for confirmation and updates.Maintain showroom organization to support client visits and presentations.Update available-to-sell inventory to reflect current stock levels.Send TOPS to stores to ensure product quality and compliance.Prepare and send sales packages to clients as needed.Support backend account maintenance to ensure accurate data and reporting.Required Experience/SkillsMinimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.Strong multitasking abilities with attention to detail.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficient in backend account maintenance tasks.Ability to communicate in an inclusive and bias-free manner.Preferred Experience/SkillsExperience with backend account maintenance systems.Ability to remain at the Sales Assistant level long-term.Familiarity with fashion or wholesale sales environments.Experience servicing off-price accounts.Strong interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or related field preferred.Coursework or training in sales operations or inventory management is a plus.BenefitsIf eligible under the ACA, medical, dental and vision benefits and time off in accordance with local paid sick time laws will be offered.
