ALM/DevOps Engineer (Remote)

Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced ALM/DevOps Engineer to take a lead role in modernizing our State client's Application Lifecycle Management and DevOps practices for our Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) environment. This role is central to our migration away from Azure DevOps pipelines toward a GitHub-based engineering ecosystem, and will own the design, governance, and automation of our build, release, and environment management processes.This is a contract role, US based only, and legally authorized to work in USA.The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and YAML-based pipeline authoring and a strong understanding of how to structure reusable workflow templates that scale across multiple teams and environments. You will be responsible for defining pipeline governance standards, implementing configuration-as-code practices, and driving environment automation across development, test, UAT, and production instances of Dynamics 365 SCM.Key responsibilities include leading the transition of existing Azure DevOps pipelines to GitHub Actions, designing and maintaining reusable YAML pipeline templates and shared workflows, establishing pipeline and repository governance standards across engineering teams, implementing configuration-as-code for environment provisioning and management, integrating automated code scanning and static analysis into CI/CD workflows, defining and enforcing quality gates across build, test, and release stages, building observability and telemetry into pipelines and deployed environments for proactive monitoring, and mentoring engineers on DevOps best practices while acting as a technical lead for ALM initiatives.Candidates should bring strong experience with Dynamics 365 SCM or similar ERP platforms, proven expertise in GitHub Actions and YAML pipeline authoring, familiarity with Azure DevOps (for migration context), experience implementing configuration-as-code and infrastructure/environment automation, knowledge of code scanning tools (such as CodeQL, SonarQube, or similar), experience defining quality gates and release governance frameworks, understanding of observability tooling (such as Application Insights, Grafana, or similar), and strong leadership or mentoring experience in a technical lead capacity.#ALM #DevOpsEngineer #Lead #GitHubActions #YAMLPipelines #CICD #ConfigurationAsCode #EnvironmentAutomation #CodeScanning #QualityGates #Observability #Telemetry #Dynamics365 #Dynamics365SCM #AzureDevOpsMigration #PipelineGovernance #WorkflowAutomation #ERP #ReleaseManagementEqual Opportunity StatementWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
