Temporary Secretary - Human Resources Department

The City of Aurora is accepting applications for a temporary secretary to provide high level administrative support in the Human Resources Department with a focus on benefits administration.The duties of this position include but are not limited to: Respond to benefit related inquiries from employees and retirees in person, on the phone, and over email; Support annual employee benefits open enrollment process; Compose a variety of correspondence including emails, letters, and memos; Maintain electronic and paper files and records; Perform data entry tasks in various computer programs.Prior administrative support experience is required and experience in benefit administration is preferred.Must successfully pass pre-hire requirements including but not limited to a physical, drug screen, and background check.This is a part-time, temporary position. The desired start date would be mid-April and the duration of the assignment is 9 months. The hourly wage is $25.51.Schedule will consist of 7 hours per day (between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm) for 4 weekdays per week.Applications should be submitted online.
