As a fast-growing partner for leading AI labs and top startups, the team is talent-dense and backed by premier venture capital.Role OverviewOur client is looking for a Software Engineer - Growth Infrastructure with 2+ years of experience to build the core infrastructure that powers expert acquisition, onboarding, and matching at scale. You will build the platform and tooling that enables the growth team to hire, assess, interview, onboard, and retain domain experts across projects. You will own end-to-end systems from outreach tooling and AI-powered interviewing to automated expert-to-project matching, with the opportunity to build machine learning-driven recommendation systems that predict expert needs.Key Responsibilities• Build and own the expert marketplace infrastructure covering outreach, interviewing (including an AI interviewer), assessments, and onboarding tooling.• Develop the hiring platform where experts are onboarded, managed, and dispatched to projects based on fit and availability.• Create automations and internal tools that replace manual workflows for the growth team to dramatically increase operational throughput.• Partner directly with growth associates to identify bottlenecks, instrument the funnel, and ship high-leverage improvements quickly.• Build machine learning-driven recommendation systems that predict expert needs for new projects and automate the staffing pipeline.Qualifications• 2–5 years of experience as a full-stack software engineer. • Experience at a high-growth, top-tier VC-backed startup or reputable trading firm, or experience as a founding engineer at a startup that has raised $2.5M+.• Degree from a highly ranked university in the US, Canada, or Europe. Candidates coming exclusively from Big Tech should have a Computer Science degree from a leading CS program.• Proficiency in Node.js/Python and hands-on experience with Kubernetes.• Experience building and owning products or systems end-to-end, with a strong bias toward ownership.• Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, React, Next.js, AWS, or GCP is relevant to the current technology stack.• Experience with Kafka, Redis, or Elasticsearch is a plus.• Willing and able to work five days per week on-site in the San Francisco FiDi office.
