The Manufacturing Maintenance Project Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing precision equipment and machinery as needed. The Manufacturing Maintenance Project Technician will also be responsible to complete construction projects around the building.Job Location:Vishay Barry is located in Attleboro, MA that is conveniently located near the main highways as well as some highly recommended restaurants. There are approximately 70 employees across two shifts working at our 40,000 sq. ft. facility of manufacturing space. This would be an on-site position.What You Will Be DoingTroubleshoots machinery and performs preventative maintenance.Replace parts of machines as needed.Performs conveyor belt maintenance and repair.Performs mechanical work to include replacement of bearings, gears, sprockets, roller chains, belts, and perform oil changes.Performs electrical work such as electric motor replacement, basic industrial wiring & troubleshooting.Complete construction needs i.e. build walls, move doors, paint, etc.Aide in assembling new equipment and furniture.Help rearrange departments as needed.Ability to lift up to 50lbs, climb up and down ladders and work in tight spaces.Ability to use hands and arms to reach, push, pull, lift, carry and manipulate materials and tools.Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb throughout the shift.What You Will Bring AlongHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent required.2+ years experience in Machine Maintenance or Construction trades.Knowledge of machines; including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.Knowledgeable in troubleshooting various types of manufacturing equipment.Knowledge and understanding of Construction Trade concepts.Proficient in the use and hand and power tools.Ability to work independently as well as a team player.Detail oriented, self-motivated with a strong sense of personal ownership and a team attitude.What Can We Offer You For Your TalentVishay offers a comprehensive suite of benefit programs including health care coverage, financial support programs and other resources designed to help you achieve your personal and professional goals.
