Title: Database Analyst/Programmer Location: Peoria, IL Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: The main function of a database analyst/programmer is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database. Job Responsibilities: Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications. Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes. Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions. Position’s Contributions to Work Group: - To develop and provide worldwide functional customer support, problem identification and resolution for IT solutions and to develop business transformation processes. To serve as a Business/Data Analyst and subject matter expert in a specialized parts and service marketing field or specialty area where decisions and recommendations are made for strategic advantage and contribute to Percent of Parts Sales for Client branded parts growth. Typical task breakdown: - Provide resolution of global data issues related to Lens Rebuild and PORO (Percent of Rebuild Opportunity) and the coordination of global data corrections. Partnering with Global IT/Client Digital and the process owners to be the primary source for business units regarding systems data issues, processes, and data accuracy. - Drive Lens Service & PORO (Percent of Rebuild Opportunity) adoption & correct utilization. - Provide support in developing Lens Service & PORO (Percent of Rebuild Opportunity) systems strategy, consulting, gathering requirements, creating, and presenting system change requests, development, testing and training. - Delivering Lens Service & PORO (Percent of Rebuild Opportunity) MGPP which, includes helping to conduct testing and get approval as required by new content releases or deployments. - Gathering and providing VOC (field teams) and VOD to Client Digital - Lead improvement projects of functional support processes for Lens Service & PORO (Percent of Rebuild Opportunity). Maintaining high visibility to end-users with the goal to consult on process options and head off potential Client Digital solution problems. - Assists Rebuild - & CISD sales execution team in obtaining answers to Lens Service & PORO process related questions. - Define documentation, procedures, and training guidelines for business unit personnel to be fully effective in both existing and future versions of Lens and PORO. - Developing, Coordinating and Presenting Training materials to various internal and dealer audiences. - Works along with management in planning major programs and objectives for the Division. - Participate in Forecasting/Business Planning. - Segmenting, targeting, and positioning market opportunities to gain market share. - Partner with industry groups to align strategies. Education & Experience Required: - Relevant Associate’s degree required with two years’ experience OR - A college or university degree (for example, BA, BS) or certification that is equivalent with 0-2 years’ experience. - Master’s Degree is not considered overqualified. - PhD would be considered overqualified. Technical Skills: (Required) - Proficiency in data analysis. - Accomplished in the use of business tools for communicating ideas. - SQL / Snowflake (coding experience) - MS Excel (& Access) (Desired) - PowerBI - Technical Machine Knowledge / Understanding - Dealer / Field experience Soft Skills: (Required) - Must have ability to work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences. - Good human relations skills are required to develop collaborative, cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the business unit. - Must communicate effectively across product, industry, dealer and/or customer audiences to gain understanding and acceptance of ideas and recommendations. - Ability to deal with sensitive issues. - Self-starter and team player - Strong communication, presentation, and training skills. - Candidate must demonstrate CLIENT’s values of Integrity, Commitment, Excellence and Teamwork Job Type: Contract Pay: $38.00 - $40.00 per hour Schedule: Monday to Friday Experience: SQL / Snowflake (coding experience): 2 years (Required) MS Excel: 2 years (Required) Data Analysis: 2 years (Required) Work Location: In person
