Position SummaryThe Engineering Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for the site engineering function in alignment with the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Strategy. This role combines long-term planning with hands-on execution to ensure the successful delivery of capital projects, asset reliability improvements, and technical initiatives that support operational performance and business growth.This position requires a strong understanding of asset reliability losses and the ability to integrate engineering solutions with Technical Services Group who are leading Asset Strategy, Planned Maintenance, Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Automation & Controls. The charter for Engineering Manager is to support improving equipment uptime, reduce operational risks, enhance overall manufacturing performance and deliver high ROI.The Engineering Manager is responsible for providing quarterly capital and project forecast updates to senior leadership. Develop & own the site five-year Supply Operations capital plan, ensuring disciplined execution through the Early Management phase-gate process. This role also oversees Buildings & Grounds / Facilities management.Success in this role requires strong cross-functional collaboration with Supply Chain partners including Manufacturing Operations, Technical Services, Quality, EHS, Planning, Sourcing, and Procurement to ensure engineering initiatives are effectively prioritized, resourced, and executed.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Strategic Servant LeadershipTranslate Manufacturing and Supply Chain strategies into executable engineering plans with clear priorities and resource alignment.Maintain a comprehensive understanding of asset reliability losses and ensure engineering actions address chronic and emerging issues.Drive a zero-loss mindset for all projects start-up through structured proactive & reactive problem solving (FMEA, RCA, BDA,).Lead by example with a balance of strategic perspective and willingness to engage in hands-on problem solving and field execution.Build strong integration with Asset Strategy and Planned Maintenance pillars to continuously enhance equipment uptime.Project Leadership and ExecutionNot only lead but actively execute engineering and capital projects from concept through commissioning and handover.Ensure all projects follow the Early Management phase-gate process, including risk assessments, design reviews, capability building, and startup readiness.Manage scope, schedule, budget, and change control with discipline.Collaborate with Plant Operations, Planned Maintenance, Quality, EHS, R&D, and external partners to ensure alignment and flawless Capex execution.Promote standardization of engineering practices, documentation, and technical specifications.Early Management & Technical GovernanceDrive Early Management rigor from project initiation through startup, ensuring robust designs, maintainability, operability, and life-cycle cost considerations.Lead technical reviews, equipment FAT/SAT, and commissioning plans.Embed lessons learned into future design standards and reliability strategies.Capital Planning & Financial ManagementOwn the development, management, and execution of the annual & 5-yr capital plan.Provide quarterly capital and project forecasts to senior leadership with clear visibility to risks, opportunities, and timing adjustments.Ensure capital investments support capacity, productivity, infrastructure integrity, safety, and quality goals.Track project financials and ensure adherence to corporate financial processes and controls.Strong ability to manage expense budgets and through improvements, continuously demonstrate improvement with effectively managing cost and cost reduction.Asset Reliability & Facilities / B&G ManagementLead the Buildings & Facilities preventive maintenance program and ensure compliance with safety and infrastructure standards.Integrate engineering solutions with reliability tools and frameworks, including Early Equipment Management, Planned Maintenance, and Condition Monitoring.Strengthen plant reliability by addressing systemic failures, optimizing asset strategies, and reducing unplanned downtime.Ensure maintenance best practices are established, measured, and continuously improved.Building & Grounds, Facilities Preventive MaintenanceLead preventive maintenanceprograms for buildings and facilities.Ensure reliability and integrityof Power, Air, Water systems, and infrastructure.Monitor and improve maintenance standards and practices.Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team with strong technical depth and project management capability.Assess capability gaps and deliver development plans to uplift technical mastery and leadership skills.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.8Communication & Cross-Functional AlignmentCommunicate project status, reliability insights, capital performance, and risk management clearly at all levels of the organization.Work seamlessly with all functions in the Supply Chain Operations ecosystem-Operations, Technical Services, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and EHS.Ensure engineering plans are synchronized with production plans, maintenance windows, and capacity requirements.Qualifications/Experience:Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related technical field.15+ years of experience in CPG, process manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.Demonstrated experience in capital project execution, asset reliability improvement, and engineering leadership.Strong understanding of TPM, especially Early Equipment Management and Planned Maintenance.Ability to read engineering schematics and equipment drawings.Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
