OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Medical Assistant to join our Orthopedic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality clinical support to physicians and patients, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a specialized environment focused on musculoskeletal health, injury recovery, and surgical aftercare.ResponsibilitiesPrepare examination rooms and assist orthopedic providers during patient visits and procedures.Record and maintain accurate patient medical histories, vital signs, and intake information in the EMR system.Apply and remove orthopedic dressings, splints, and casts under provider supervision.Assist with joint injections, wound care, suture removal, and post-operative assessments.Coordinate imaging orders (X-rays, MRIs) and ensure results are available for provider review.Provide patient education on pre- and post-operative care, physical therapy instructions, and brace use.Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure exam rooms are fully stocked and sanitized.Support front-office duties such as scheduling, prior authorizations, and patient follow-up when needed.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) preferred.Prior experience in orthopedics, sports medicine, or surgical specialty strongly preferred.Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and orthopedic equipment.Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient service skills.Current BLS/CPR certification required.
