This Contract position will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with tax-related processes, and ensuring day-to-day accounting activities are completed efficiently. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in general ledger management, journal entry preparation, and corporate and sales tax support.Responsibilities:- Prepare and record journal entries to maintain accurate and timely financial reporting.- Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to support the integrity of accounting records.- Assist with corporate tax activities, including gathering financial data and supporting tax return preparation.- Manage sales tax processes by reviewing transactions, maintaining records, and helping ensure filings are completed correctly.- Support month-end and period-end close tasks by organizing account activity and preparing required documentation.- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to respond to accounting questions and provide financial information as needed.- Review financial data for accuracy and follow established accounting procedures within a contract assignment environment. Requirements - Experience working in a Staff Accountant or similar accounting support role.- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entry preparation.- Familiarity with corporate tax processes and corporate tax return support.- Experience handling sales tax reporting or related compliance activities.- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.- Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
