As a Database Developer, you’ll play a critical, hands‑on role in designing and optimizing high‑performance SQL solutions that power complex investment analytics at scaleThis is not a traditional DBA role — it’s a deep, problem‑solving development role where your work directly impacts how global clients measure and understand investment performance.What you’ll doDesign, build, and optimize SQL Server stored procedures and complex queries that support large‑scale investment performance calculationsMap and transform data from custodial and investment data sources into structured, analytics‑ready data modelsDiagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks across very large datasets (millions to billions of records)Partner closely with application and UI engineers whose reports and dashboards rely on your database outputsCollaborate with onshore engineers and an offshore development team to deliver scalable, enterprise‑grade solutionsContribute to platform modernization initiatives for new large enterprise client programsYou’ll join a highly experienced engineering team working on complex, meaningful problems at the intersection of data, finance, and analytics.Skills, Knowledge & ExpertiseWhat we’re looking forCore technical skillsExpert‑level Microsoft SQL Server experience (non‑negotiable)Strong hands‑on experience writing and tuning complex SQL and T‑SQLProven background in SQL Server performance optimization and troubleshootingExperience building database logic for analytics and reporting environments (not infrastructure or admin‑focused roles)Domain expertise (essential)Prior experience with investment performance reporting or analytics systemsInvestment management industry experience is keySolid understanding of core investment concepts such as:Equity vs. fixed incomeBenchmarks and returnsCustodial data and financial data structuresAbility to sense‑check and validate what “reasonable” performance outcomes should look likeNice to havePython experienceExperience using AI‑assisted development tools for coding or testingBackground with asset managers, investment advisors, custodians.Be part of a supportive team that sits at the heart of how our data is managed and used.
