Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with Merger and Acquisition experience. This role is a vital member of the Northland Capital Markets team developing, implementing, and managing M&A consulting services for banking and financial institutions. It focuses on financial advisory services for banking clients, advising on capital markets, M&A, divestitures, and general financial matters.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, plan, and manage M&A consulting services with the defined market.Serve as a strategic M&A advisor in client engagements to ensure the client's business objectives are met.Identify and develop new business opportunities.Serve as an M&A thought leader to enhance the business.Establish and maintain appropriate client relationships.Work in a team environment with other Banking Professionals on a variety of projects from commencement to conclusion for each client engagement.Be willing and able to travel regularly for client or potential client meetings.Key Skills / Ideal CandidateAbility to work directly with clients and Banking Professionals to manage client deliverables.Excellent follow‐through and time management skills.Strong experience with identifying transactions and working in a team environment for execution.Excellent interpersonal and relationship‐building skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.Excellent attention to detail.Exhibit and maintain a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity.Must exhibit good business acumen.QualificationsA bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree and at least 7 years of relevant work experience.Existing or willingness to obtain FINRA Series 79 license.Significant experience within the Merger and Acquisition professional services, specifically with bank clients.A deep understanding of the banking industry, particularly the local and national environment.Excellent proactive business development skills.Superior written, verbal communication and networking skills.High level of presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Ability to develop and retain new client relationships and activity.Valid driver's license.Ability to perform financial analysis, valuation analysis, and pro forma financial modeling.CompensationBase salary ranging from $75,000 to $150,000, depending on location and candidate experience.Benefits OverviewMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with matching contributionsTime‐off ProgramsHealth Savings Account (HSA)/Dependent CareEmployee Banking Growth OpportunitiesTuition AssistanceShort‐Term and Long‐Term Disability InsuranceWork EnvironmentPosition is open to remote candidates.
