Professionally interact with railroad operations/customer service teams on local service issues. Coordinate rail car repairs with onsite personnel and outside vendorsMaintain the sites' rail car inventoryPrepare bill-of-ladings for all outbound carsWorking with inventory system to make sure it is collecting accurate information, and reporting this information to our customers via daily and weekly reportsWorking one-on-one with customers to answer questions, solve issues, and provide them with any information they may needPartner with other logistics coordinators to reconcile information and fix any errorsWork with supervisors and managers to share information and assist them with anything related to the inventory systemAnticipate the needs of those you support and complete assigned tasks with a high degree of accuracy with minimal directionHere Is What We Will Need Form You2+ years experience in a logisticsHigh school diploma preferred Advanced Knowledge and experience in computers, including: word processing, spreadsheet and Microsoft office programs2-3 years of job related experience where the success of the position relied on accurately receiving, inputting, interpreting and utilizing data to make decisions in a fast paced environment; Dispatching and/or logisitics experience a plusExperience with or able to learn the required rail logistics programs, or other rail management programsAbility to multi taskProfessional verbal and written communication skillsThese Are Some Of The Physical RequirementsAbility to work night shift ( 5pm - 5am) Must be able to work holidays as scheduledThe office location is in an industrial settingMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces on occasionMust be able to sit for extended periods of timeAdditional InformationA complete job description is available upon requestSavage is an Equal Opportunity Employer and maintains a drug-free workplaceCalifornia Residents Job Application Privacy Notice You may view available jobs at www.savageco.com/careers and apply using the online job posting.Eligible full-time team members may participate in the company benefit package, which currently includes medical, dental, and vision plans; company-paid life, AD&D and disability insurance; supplemental life and disability options; health savings and flex spending accounts; profit sharing; PTO and a 401(k) plan with match.
