Join our expanding Pediatric Hospitalist program!
Growing from 2 to 3 full time Pediatric Hospitalists with daytime in house coverage and nighttime call from home

Pediatric Sub Specialty Support- Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Infectious Disease, Neonatology.
General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, Gastroenterology and many other subspecialists available for consultation
12 bed pediatric inpatient unit with pending remodel
Full integrated system with clinics and hospitals on Epic EMR to improve care coordination
Affiliated with a Children s Miracle Network Hospital
Responsibilities:
Average daily census of 5-7 in summer and 7-10 in winter (combination of newborn nursery and inpatient)
Round on unassigned newborns in newborn nursery (no NICU or Level 2 nursery responsibilities), circumcisions, ED and direct admissions of pediatric age patients, ED consultation when requested
No delivery attendance required. High risk deliveries are attended by in house NICU.
Tertiary hospitals located 90 miles North and South with visiting subspecialists
Average 10 shifts per month in 2-3 day increments with balanced weekend and holiday coverage
In house hours from 7:30 a.m. 5 p.m. Call from home with in house Family Practice resident coverage.
Flexibility exists with group for switch to alternate schedules in winter to include rotating night call vs. double coverage in a.m. to divide newborn rounds and inpatients.
