Details Acute care hospital setting with 276 staffed beds CVICU unit with a 1:2 patient ratio Cardiac and neurological patient population Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p–7a Every other weekend required Holiday rotation required No on-call responsibilities Floating within scope required, consistent with staff nurse expectations — travelers float first Charting performed in Epic Free parking available on site Requirements Active SC RN license or Compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have it active prior to start Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (2 years preferred) Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration SSN and Driver's License required for consideration Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for a travel rate Additional Information First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler Candidates must complete orientation modules prior to start date All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs Scrub color required: Royal Blue American Traveler Job ID P-692132.
