Terrain Café is a chef-driven, garden-to-table restaurant that celebrates seasonal ingredients and the art of gathering through thoughtful menus and warm, welcoming spaces rooted in craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality.We are seeking a skilled and motivated Chef de Cuisine to join our dynamic culinary team. This is a fast-paced, high-performance role in a scratch kitchen, i deal for Chefs who thrive on precision, speed, and working across multiple stations. Our collaborative kitchen team is dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences rooted in quality and creativity.Role ResponsibilitiesHelp in the preparation and design of all food and drinks menusProduce high quality plates both design and taste wiseEnsure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standardsFill in for the Executive Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessaryResourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situationManage and train kitchen staff, establish working schedule and assess staff’s performanceOrder supplies to stock inventory appropriatelyComply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standardsMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customersRole Qualifications Strong and effective communication. Minimum of 2 years experience in a high-volume kitchen management position . Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Flexible availability preferred- may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays. Strong sense of urgency, time management, and teamwork who thrives in a fast-paced, event-driven environment Organized, reliable, and professional under pressure Motivated to deliver exceptional guest experiences through food. Reliable transportation for dependable attendance. Knowledge of kitchen safety, cleanliness, and industry best practices.Excellent record of kitchen and staff managementAccuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutionsWorking knowledge of various computer software programs (restaurant management software, POS, etc.)BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate would be a plu The Perks Why Work with Us?
