Litigation Secretary
Company Description Hopkins PA is a full-service law firm that provides creative, persistent legal representation to individuals, families, and businesses. Our focus is commercial litigation and appeals.We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented part-time litigation secretary to work remotely in support of our civil litigation practice. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience filing in Florida state and federal courts, scheduling hearings, and coordinating depositions.Key ResponsibilitiesElectronically file complaints, motions, responses, and other pleadings in Florida state and federal courts (including e-filing portals)Schedule and coordinate hearings, track deadlines, and maintain litigation calendarsCoordinate depositions: schedule court reporters, attorneys, and witnesses; arrange video/in-person logistics; manage deposition exhibits and transcriptsPrepare and serve discovery documents, subpoenas, and court noticesMaintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with court rules and formatting requirementsCommunicate professionally with court clerks, opposing counsel, court reporters, and clientsRequired QualificationsMinimum 3 years as a litigation secretary or legal assistant in a civil litigation law firmProven experience filing in Florida state courts (county and circuit) and U.S. District Courts in FloridaStrong familiarity with Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and federal civil procedureProficiency with Florida e-filing systems, Microsoft Office, Zoom schedulingExcellent written and verbal communication; high attention to detailAbility to work independently, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines in a remote settingWork Arrangement100% Remote (U.S.-based)Part-time (hours and days of week flexible, but must be available during Florida business hours for court filings and coordination)
