Position Type:Clerical/Classified Support/Other/Clerical/Classified Support/Other Date Posted:3/20/2026 Location:Business Services Closing Date:Until Filled Department: Business Services Reports to: Executive Director of Financial Services Placement: Professional Exempt Salary Schedule, Grade D Term: See Duty Day Calendar Position Summary:The Staff Accountant provides assistance to the Executive Director of Financial Services in theadministration of the District's business and fiscal affairs. This position also leads, supervises, and evaluates personnel, accounting operations and associated functional areas to ensure accuracy, compliance and efficiency. Essential FunctionsPerforms cash reconciliation to the County Treasurer's records. Performs all bank account reconciliations (revolving funds, transmittal accounts, and checking accounts). Reviews deposits for funds received at the District Office. Assists with reviewing and approving journal entries. Prepares quarterly and annual financial submissions for the Medicaid Cost Reporting and Claiming System. Ensures that all work is completed in accordance with District policy and applicable state and federal laws. Performs any other duties as assigned by supervisor. Handles various banking duties. Responsible for audit preparation of accounting records. Training and Experience:Minimum of four years of experience in school-related finance and budget Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. Previous experience in a similar position.
