Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Mammography Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 26 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Mammography Technologist (2D/3D Tomosynthesis) Facility: Phoenix Indian Medical Center Location: Phoenix, AZ 85016 Job Type: Contract Shift: Day Shift (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM), Monday–Sunday as needed Start Date: July 2026 Credentialing Time: 6–8 Weeks Positions Available: 2 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures using 2D and 3D tomosynthesis technology. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards including MQSA and ACR guidelines. Key Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using 2D and 3D tomosynthesis equipment Operate advanced imaging systems (e.g., Hologic Tomosynthesis systems) Ensure proper patient positioning for optimal imaging quality Maintain compliance with MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) and ACR standards Conduct routine QA/QC procedures and document results accurately Maintain accurate patient records using PACS/EHR systems Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive patient care Follow radiation safety protocols (Image Gently / Image Wisely initiatives) Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams for accurate diagnosis support Required Qualifications Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Minimum 1 year of recent Mammography experience ARRT certification in Radiography (required) MQSA certification (required) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required) Experience in 2D and 3D mammography (tomosynthesis preferred) Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques QA/QC proficiency in accordance with MQSA standards Experience with PACS and electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) Excellent patient communication and positioning skills Ability to work in a high-volume clinical environment Attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy About Encode INC At Encode, we empower organizations and individuals through innovative, human-centric workforce and technology solutions.
