Material Handler – Flexible Shift

*Schedule: Monday–Friday with mandatory overtime, including potential 6–7-day workweeks*
*Job Description:*
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented *Production Operator* to support manufacturing operations for plastic pour bottles. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written procedures, and a commitment to quality and safety.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift, push, and pull materials up to 50 pounds.
*Key Responsibilities:*
Perform manufacturing processes involved in the production of plastic pour bottles.
Perform and document line clearances according to established procedures.
Verify the correctness of materials before and during production.
Load empty gaylords onto the production line for filling.
Pack finished plastic pour bottles into gaylords.
Cover and properly label finished products.
Inspect bottles and gasket assemblies for quality and defects.
Identify and report abnormalities, discrepancies, and quality issues to the shift leader or supervisor.
Follow all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality requirements.
Maintain accurate and legible production documentation.
Follow current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment using 6S principles.
Participate in Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
Notify supervision of any safety, quality, mechanical, or material issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
*Required Qualifications:*
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous manufacturing, production, packaging, assembly, or warehouse experience preferred.
Basic mathematical skills.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to read and understand specifications, work instructions, and procedures.
Ability to complete documentation accurately and legibly.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to follow safety procedures and established work instructions.
*Physical Requirements:*
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to *50 pounds*.
Ability to lift materials above shoulder level.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring hearing protection and audiometric testing.
*Work Schedule & Overtime:*
Mandatory overtime is required.
Overtime may occur during the regular workweek and is not limited to weekends.
Employees may be required to work *6–7 days per week* based on production needs.
