Are you a Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager looking for a role where your work genuinely matters?
Do you want the flexibility to do your best work while supporting real people running real businesses?
At Bean Ninjas, you will work directly with eCommerce founders who rely on accurate financials and clear guidance to make decisions that affect their teams, families, and long term success. You will partner with a skilled offshore accounting team and work closely with our Service Delivery Director, acting as a senior, client facing extension of the delivery function.
This role is for someone who enjoys client interaction, has strong technical accounting judgment, and wants meaningful responsibility without being buried in people management.
Why This Role Exists Our Service Delivery Director oversees capacity planning, staffing, and team satisfaction for a growing delivery organization. As we scale, the volume of client questions, technical escalations, reviews, and delivery decisions continues to increase.
This role exists to take ownership of client facing delivery work and technical decision making so delivery remains timely, high quality, and predictable. You will help ensure important issues are addressed quickly and thoughtfully, rather than piling up due to time constraints.
Why This Role Stands Out This is not a traditional accounting role. You will:
Work directly with small business owners who value clarity, responsiveness, and sound judgment
Enjoy the flexibility of a remote first work environment
Be trusted to make decisions that affect clients, delivery timelines, and internal workflows
Work closely with an offshore team so your time is spent on review, problem solving, and advisory work
Help shape services, processes, and systems as the business continues to grow
What You Will Do Client Facing Responsibilities You will be actively client facing and responsible for:
Pushing clients through onboarding by setting expectations, managing timelines, and ensuring required information and software access is in place
Leading financial review meetings and explaining results in a clear, practical way
Managing client expectations around scope, turnaround times, and out of scope requests
Handling complex client questions that require technical accounting judgment and research
Preparing for client meetings, including review, investigation, and coordination with the delivery team to resolve follow ups
Technical Accounting and Review You will support delivery quality and consistency by:
Reviewing monthly bookkeeping deliverables prepared by our offshore team
Performing final reviews on financial statements, one off work, and non standard transactions
Acting as a technical escalation point for team leads and managers
Helping resolve complex accounting issues related to eCommerce, inventory, landed costs, and system integrations
Supporting investigations into accounting treatment and software behavior when issues arise
Delivery Support and Escalations A core part of this role is supporting the Service Delivery Director by owning delivery level issues, including:
Handling final escalations from the delivery team
Acting as a final decision maker on client delivery questions and issues
Supporting capacity and timeliness of deliverables across client portfolios
Assisting with short term staffing coverage questions and team structure challenges
Helping manage competing priorities when time constraints are tight
Systems, Access, and Process Improvements You will also contribute by:
Managing and troubleshooting software access issues for clients and team members
Investigating changes within accounting and eCommerce software tools
Supporting evaluations of new tools or changes to existing systems
Identifying process improvements that reduce friction for both clients and the delivery team
Who Thrives Here You will love this role if you:
Enjoy being client facing and building long term client relationships
Have strong technical accounting fundamentals and sound judgment
Are comfortable making decisions when not everything is perfectly documented
Can manage multiple priorities without losing attention to detail
Want flexibility and autonomy without stepping fully into people management
Care about helping small business owners succeed, not just closing files
Must Have Skills CPA designation or equivalent professional qualification (current or previously held), or in final stages
2 to 5 years of experience in public accounting or industry
Strong understanding of accrual accounting, month end processes, and financial analysis
Confidence leading client conversations and explaining financial information
