Quality Engineer

Responsible for ensuring customer quality requirements are successfully flowed into the manufacturing plan. Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in review customer purchase orders, technical drawings and documents. Support the development of first article inspection plans and reports per AS9102.Participate in 8D root cause and corrective action investigations per AS13000.Practices 6 Sigma approach to develop methods to capture data around a process and use that data to make decisions about process performance and improvements.Participate in employee engagement in the QMS, acting as a resource, conducting trainings, and providing support to others.Participate in internal audits.Participate in Material Review Board (MRB) activities by analyzing and dispositioning non-conforming product in accordance with customer requirements. Interact and communicate with customers on quality issues. . Competencies:Customer focus.Teamwork.Focus on results.Analytical thinking.Business judgment.Listening.Typical Educational/Experience Requirements:High School Diploma/GED.BS preferred and/or 0-5 years of comparable experience.Qualifications:Due to ITAR requirements, all candidates must be a US Citizen or Permanent ResidentASQ Quality Certification or ability to obtain one.
