EP Tech / EP Lab Tech Location: Titusville, FL Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing Pay: $1,602 to $1,841 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/21/2026 About the Position Travel EP Lab Tech Company: Fusion Medical Staffing Location: Facility in Titusville, Florida Job Details Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Lab Tech for a 13-week travel assignment in Titusville, Florida. Required Qualifications: One year’s recent experience as an EP Lab Tech Current BLS (AHA/ ARC) certification ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification Current ACLS certification Preferred Qualifications: Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance within state regulations PALS or ENPC certifications Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary: The Electrophysiology (EP) Lab Tech is responsible for assisting in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and other specialized procedures within the EP lab. This role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating and troubleshooting EP lab equipment, monitoring patient responses, and maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. The EP Lab Tech plays a crucial role in supporting cardiac mapping, ablations, pacemaker and defibrillator implantations, and other specialized cardiac interventions. Essential Work Functions: Perform comprehensive nursing assessments for EP lab patients and document findings accurately Educate patients and families on electrophysiology procedures, pre-procedure expectations, and post-procedure care to ensure understanding and informed consent Assist physicians with electrophysiology studies, ablations, and device implantations Administer medications, including conscious sedation, per physician orders Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient responses throughout procedures Identify and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating care as needed Maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment preparation, setup, and troubleshooting to support seamless procedural workflow Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement patient-centered treatment plans Provide immediate post-procedure care, monitoring complications and ensuring stable recovery Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice Required Essential Skills: Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills Physical Abilities - Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills - Must be able to work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism Technical/Motor Skills - Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel.
