Senior / Lead .NET Architect (Hands-On) – SaaS Platform | $190k | Hybrid/Remote (US East Coast)I’m working with a SaaS business operating in a genuinely mission-critical environment (24/7 systems, real-world operational impact) who are hiring a Senior / Lead .NET Architect to replace a long-standing senior hire who recently moved on.This is not a hands off tole, they want someone still close to the code, building, and shaping architecture in a modern cloud environment.What you’ll be doing:Owning architecture and delivery across a full-stack .NET platformDesigning and building backend-heavy, distributed systemsWorking closely with a small, high-impact engineering teamDriving best practices across clean code, testing, and DevOpsContributing to a broader re-architecture of a SaaS product suiteHelping guide early-stage adoption of AI tooling (e.g. Copilot)Tech environment:.NET / C# (ASP.NET Core, Web API)Azure (App Services, Functions, Serverless, Cloud-native)Microservices / event-driven architectureSQL Server + ORM (EF Core)CI/CD, observability, modern DevOps practicesSome frontend exposure (React / Blazor / modern JS frameworks)What they’re looking for:Strong architectural experience with a hands-on mindsetBackground in backend-heavy systems with full-stack capabilityExperience building and scaling production SaaS platformsSomeone sharp, collaborative, and comfortable owning problems end-to-endBonus if you’ve worked with distributed systems or modern cloud patternsTeam & process:Small, experienced engineering team (high ownership, low ego)Straightforward interview process: HR screen → Technical with hiring manager → Team discussionLogistics:Salary: ~$190kPermanent roleHybrid/remote (preference for East Coast proximity; office in NJ for occasional collaboration)If you’re an experienced engineer who enjoys building, not just diagramming, this is worth a conversation.If you feel this could be a good fit and want further details please drop me a DM or email chris@thedeveloperlink.io
