This role involves strengthening technical relationships with partners, educating sales teams on cloud technologies, and serving as a technical lead and subject matter expert on projects. The engineer will implement and document cloud solutions, develop technical roadmaps for future implementations, and ensure security is integrated into all cloud architectures.Role DescriptionCollaborating with account teams to understand customer cloud environments through review and evaluation of cloud technologies, consumption, implementations, and processesDesigning and proposing cloud solutions that meet customers' business objectivesCollaborating with sales teams to drive the solution, including making recommendations and aligning the next steps for a saleStrengthening technical relationships with OEMs, strategic and emerging partners, and key cloud partnersEducating sales teams on cloud solution selling and key technologies through various forms of trainingConducting product training and positioning for the sales team and customersImplementing and thoroughly documenting cloud solutions and related technologies, including network design, security architecture, governance best practices, and connectivityServing as the technical lead and subject matter expert on projects and workshopsDeveloping technical roadmaps for future cloud implementations on public cloud platformsEnsuring security is integrated into all cloud solutionsBehaviors and CompetenciesPresenting: Can design and deliver engaging presentations, adapting the content and style to suit the audience, context, and medium.Results Orientation: Can set challenging goals for their team and lead them to achieve these goals, demonstrating a consistent track record of results.Detail-Oriented: Can manage complex tasks or projects, identifying errors or inconsistencies, and ensuring all details are addressed, necessary corrections are made, and quality is maintained.Organization: Can effectively coordinate multiple projects, delegate tasks where appropriate, and employ advanced organizational tools and methods.Technical Troubleshooting: Can proactively seek out potential technical problems, initiate preventive measures, and contribute to innovative solutions.Collaboration: Can proactively seek out diverse perspectives, facilitate open communication among team members, and drive toward consensus and action.Listening: Can actively engage in listening by asking clarifying questions and providing feedback that shows a deep understanding of the conversation.Documentation: Can develop comprehensive documentation standards, implement best practices, and ensure documentation supports operational efficiency.Skill Level RequirementsExtensive knowledge of AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platforms - IntermediateThe ability to understand and utilize cloud computing technologies, including virtualization, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS delivery models, to implement and manage scalable cloud solutions - IntermediateThe ability to understand and manage various infrastructure components (firewalls, load balancers, hypervisors, storage, monitoring, security) and use orchestration tools to develop comprehensive technical solutions - IntermediateThe ability to design, implement, and support multi-tier applications and cloud-based architectures to meet organizational needs - IntermediateProficient in migrating workloads to the Public Cloud and managing them efficiently - IntermediateOther RequirementsCompleted Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience required3-5 years of experience in a similar roleAbility to travel to SHI, Partner, and Customer EventsThe estimated annual pay range for this position is $110,000 - $170,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
