Manufacturing Technician A - Die Cast Continuous Improvement - 1st Shift

Position DescriptionLeads and completes moderately complex assignments and performs statistical analysis of data to provide information to meet and improve safety, quality, and production flow.Job ResponsibilitiesInstructs, monitors and communicates requirements for safety, quality and productionWorks closely with engineers and outside vendors to resolve complex process or equipment issues in a cost effective and timely mannerMaintains statistical process charting, interpretation, and trend-analysis in order to perform process or equipment adjustments to bring parts into specificationTrains employees; assigns and directs work; provides feedback to supervisor regarding employee work performance; addresses complaints and resolves problemsPerforms statistical analysis to assist in meeting plant, business unit and/or supplier goals and objectivesDrives toward sustainable solutions by developing standard workflow for new and existing products while considering safety and efficiencyRecommends improvements and/or modifications for sequence of operationsPerforms other duties as assignedJob Skills RequirementsSkill and a basic knowledge of tooling practices and applicationsDemonstrated leadership skillsGood teamwork, interpersonal and communication skillsComputer skillsThorough knowledge of Lean Sigma and use of the DMAIC processStrong time management, prioritization, organizational and planning skillsAbility to work with minimal supervision either individually or in a team environmentFluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or locationEducationHigh School diploma in equivalent education and experienceExperience RequirementsMinimum of three years of related experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality fieldPhysical & Environmental RequirementsMay be required to lift or carry products, parts, and/or other materials of various sizes and weights.
