Data QA AnalystLong-Term ContractRole SummaryWe are seeking a Data QA/Support professional with strong data analysis and reporting skills to support an internal application. This role partners closely with developers, stakeholders, and reporting teams to identify and triage issues, execute manual QA testing, analyze application and business data, and produce reporting that support operational and executive visibility. We encourage all those interested in the role to apply!QualificationsCompleted Bachelors degree in IT or realted field (Computer Science, Data Science, IT, etc.)Relevant internships or school projects regarding data or data visualization.Demonstrate understanding of manual QA testing. Experience writing and executing SQL queries (including complex queries for analysis and validation). Power BI/Tableau experience for dashboards and reporting.Python experience for data analysis/automation support.Experience with defect tracking and managing enhancements.Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional internal teams.Ability to independently research issues determine if they are Front or Back-end issues and produce clear, thorough documentation for developers.Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Assurance (Manual Testing) Create, write, and execute manual QA test cases for new features, enhancements, and defect fixes.Record test results clearly and consistently often communicating with developers validate fixes through regression testing.Support monthly release cycles and contribute to pre- and post-deployment validation activities.Identify, log, and assign new defects; maintain accurate defect tracking and status updates.Clearly document issues, defects, stories, and tasks to support efficient development and testing.Collaborate with business partners and reporting teams to help craft user stories based on analysis and operational needs.Participate in Tech Design/Requirements Gathering sessions to better understand stories in upcoming sprintsApplication Support & Issue Triage Serve as a first line of technical support for complex issues before work is assigned to developers.Thoroughly research reported problems, reproduce issues, and document steps, expected vs. actual results, and impact.Track defects and enhancements through the full lifecycle, partnering with developers to drive resolution.Understand and configure system as may be required to put users in roles that will enable them to do their job effectivelyDevelop Job Aides or Specific training as neededData Analysis & ReportingWrite and execute SQL queries to investigate issues, validate data, and support reporting needs.Analyze internal system data and reporting analytics to support customer service-facing platforms and retail business insights.Build and maintain reports/dashboards and executive scorecards using Power BI Communicate findings in business-friendly terms, explaining data trends and their operational impact.Work Style / ExpectationsHighly independent and self-sufficient, with strong ownership of deliverables.Comfortable working closely with development teams in a release-based environment.Able to translate technical findings into clear business impact for non-technical partners.
