ABOUT THE ROLEThe Outsource Manager oversees all outsourced drafting and engineering services, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with Wells standards. This role leads a team of Outsource Coordinators while managing vendor relationships and project workflows from start to finish. The Outsource Manager partners cross-functionally to drive quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all outsourced projects.Salary range ($90,000-$125,000). They excel at managing teams, vendor relationships, and complex workflows while ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to standards. This individual is proactive, collaborative, and focused on driving efficiency, accountability, and continuous improvement across all projects.IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVEBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Drafting, or related field with 5+ years of drafting experience3+ years of precast or related construction experience preferredStrong leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, and develop team membersExcellent interpersonal and communication skills across internal and external stakeholdersStrong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office and drafting/engineering softwareAbility to manage multiple projects, priorities, and vendor relationshipsExperience with contract management, RFP processes, and vendor performance evaluationAbility to travel as needed, including occasional overnight staysWORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSOccasional visits to active plant and field locations are required based on operational needs.Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required while in the plant and field.Must be able to stand, walk, and navigate active plant and field environments as needed.Must be able to climb stairs, walk on uneven surfaces, and safely move through industrial work areas.May be exposed to moving equipment, machinery, and other standard industrial hazards.May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, as well as noise, dust, and vibration.This profile summarizes key duties and expectations but does not list every possible job task.
