Occupational Therapist (Hand Therapist)

JOB SUMMARYThe Occupational Therapist 1 plans, organizes, and provides professional services in restorative, functional and preventative therapeutic programs to patients. Clinical practice includes evaluation and occupational therapy treatment planning to facilitate rehabilitation of the mentally, physically or emotionally handicapped. Works closely with patients and family to establish and meet treatment goals.$5,000 Sign on BonusThis is a Hand Therapy position. CHT preferred. State of the art facility, you will work alongside the hand surgeon and two other CHTs.Schedule; Monday - Thursday, 9-hour days, Friday half day, 1 on 1 patient care, 11 patients seen daily Monday - Thursday, 5 patients seen on Fridays, 45-minute sessions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLEPATIENT CARE: Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately.COMMUNICATION: Communicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers, and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family and staff.CLINICAL SUPERVISION: Supervises support staff, students and volunteers.PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence based practice. Shares knowledge to develop the clinical skills of collogues. Adheres to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.ORGANIZATIONAL FOCUS: Maintains awareness of system goals.
