Diesel Electrical Technician

Our team is currently looking for a Diesel Electrical Technician in our climate temperate garage and truck wash located in Northeast Philadelphia has a space for your toolbox to call home. The ideal candidate should have previous experience as a mechanic/technician in heavy equipment or trucking environments. This career opportunity is available for a self-motivated person with strong work ethics. Primary DutiesDiagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and complex electrical systems (sensors, wiring, ECMs) Identifying shorts and repairing damaged wiring harnesses. Work with exhaust regeneration systems and computerized sensors. Repair or replace engines, transmissions, fuel systems, and braking systems. Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as needed to execute repairs. Conform to all safety and health standards Maintain accurate service records and repair logs. Comply with state vehicle and DOT vehicle requirements RequirementsFamiliarity with electrical testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes) and computerized diagnostic equipment. Ability to read schematics and interpret diagnostic test results. Strong understanding of diesel power cycles, hydraulics, and electrical systems. 1-2 years of demonstrated work history in with heavy equipment, trucking, or equivalent, experience Valid driver's license with a safe driving record Must be willing to work overtime Must have own tools Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Attention to detail and highly organized Minimum Requirements Physical Requirements Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Capability to stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours per day) Capability to walk throughout department for 20% of the shift (8+ hours per day) Capability to lift to 100 lbs. on a frequent basis with reasonable accommodation. Position requires listening to and diagnosing equipment functionality by sound Requires the frequent use of both hands and arms. Capability to bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8+ hours per day) Must be able to work in a Safety Sensitive Position Compensation: Pay depends on experience (weekly pay via direct deposit).
