As an Automation Engineer, you will design, develop, and scale advanced automation solutions supporting our server manufacturing operations in Taylor, TX.From robotics and conveyors to AGVs and automated test systems, you’ll help drive efficiency, improve uptime, and enable high-volume production through cutting-edge technologies. We are seeking candidates with 4+ years of experience in automation, robotics, or manufacturing engineering, with strong hands-on experience in PLCs, system integration, and process optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automated solutions across assembly, testing, and packaging processesIntegrate advanced systems including conveyors, sensors, AGVs, and ASRS into end-to-end manufacturing linesProgram, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, robotics, and automated equipment to ensure peak performanceDevelop and deploy automated build and test cells for both New Product Introduction (NPI) and mass productionDrive continuous improvement by increasing machine uptime, reducing manual labor, and enhancing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Develop automation logic, scripts, and system interfaces to support smart manufacturing initiativesPartner cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Industrial, and Process Engineering teams to identify and execute automation opportunitiesEnsure all automation systems meet safety, compliance, and operational standardsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or related field4+ years of experience in automation, robotics, or manufacturing engineeringHands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley), robotics, or motion control systemsStrong understanding of sensors, machine vision, and industrial communication protocolsExperience with AGVs, ASRS, or collaborative robotics (cobots)Programming experience in Python, C#, or Ladder LogicKnowledge of OEE, machine availability, and predictive maintenance strategiesWhy Join CompalBe part of a high-growth, next-generation manufacturing environment in Taylor, TXWork on cutting-edge automation technologies supporting AI and server hardware productionOpportunity to build, innovate, and scale systems from the ground upCollaborate with global teams while making a direct local impact
