Today we work alongside clients that include Fortune 100 companies, mid-sized enterprises, and government agencies, a list that spans across the country.Job DescriptionConsulting at CapTech:Create, evaluate and manage technical solutions to ensure client successPartner with clients on team-based projects to deliver solutions across the full Software Development Lifecycle leveraging the Agile Methodology as well as modern technology languages, frameworks, and patternsThrive in a collaborative environment with many opportunities to learn from and share knowledge with other developers, architects, and our clients.Design, implement, integrate and support on-prem, cloud, and hybrid developmentCreate roadmap and high-level design documentation, epics and storiesIdentify and communicate architectural / solution tradeoffs, for client specific solutionsDisplay a working knowledge of different architectural frameworks that may be used by our clientsCollaborate with cross-functional teammates to support business development by demonstrating CapTech's technical capabilitiesTechnical Solutions:Lead the design and architecture of Java-based solutions tailored to meet client-specific needs.Create technical project estimates and work plansDevelop code hands-on in addition to architecture solutionSolutions include API-driven clients, microservice architectures, event-driven integrations, cloud deployments, serverless applications, and web and portal front endsExperience with Agentic AI development- Developing agents and developing with agentsExperience with a Varied AI Toolset- Claude code, CodeX, Opencode, OpenClaudePreferred experience with AI orchestrationLearning and Professional Development Opportunities:Create an individualized professional development planGain experience with a variety of different clients and industry verticalsInfluence and guide professional development efforts for those at all levels, including teaching, coaching, and collaboration through project work and innovation challengesShare knowledge and common experiences with fellow CapTechers through Technical Communities of Practice and Lunch and LearnsQualificationsQualifications:Enterprise-level experience with modern Java, its core libraries, and open-source frameworksHands-on experience with software development, enterprise architecture, and directing technical teamsFamiliarity with microservice architectures, monitoring tools, databases, and containerizationAbility to think strategically and relate architectural recommendations to business needs and client culture.Extensive knowledge and application of Design PatternsAbility to communicate technical solutions with technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience assessing the performance of software systems and implementing tools used to optimize performancePreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with tools such as LangChain, vector databases, and prompt engineering techniquesKnowledge of data engineering tools (Spark, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake)AI/ML certifications or cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning, Azure AI Engineer)Experience with Legacy Systems and Architectures including SaaSAdditional InformationWe want everyone at CapTech to be able to envision a lasting and rewarding career here, which is why we offer a variety of career paths based on your skills and passions.
