Job Title: Software Development Engineer Experience Level: 5+ YearsLocation: Seattle, WA (ONSITE)Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer with experience in Linux, Python, and configuration management. In this role, you will develop cutting-edge tools for fast deployment of algorithms, integrate robotic control and perception systems, and evaluate novel algorithms on state-of-the-art platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and apply your expertise in machine learning and robotics to solve complex problems.Key Responsibilities:• Develop tools for rapid deployment of algorithms in both simulation and real-world environments.• Integrate robotic control and perception stacks with simulation frameworks.• Evaluate and refine the performance of algorithms on advanced robotic platforms.• Manage third-party repository integration.• Maintain and run machine learning models.• Analyze and refine training datasets for robotic and AI applications.• Stay current with advancements in machine learning and AI.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.MUST HAVE Skills Required:1. Linux: Minimum 2+ years of experience.2. Python: Minimum 2+ years of experience.3. Configuration Management: Minimum 2+ years of experience.NICE TO HAVE:• ROS/ROS2: 2+ years of experience.• TensorFlow: 2+ years of experience.• Experience with other machine learning packages is a plus.Required Skills:• Expertise in C++ and Python build and integration tools (Bazel, CMake, etc.).• Proficiency in Python, C++, and at least one deep learning library (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX).• Mastery of Linux, Docker, and microservices architecture.• Experience with robotic frameworks such as ROS/ROS2.• Comfortable working with continuous integration tools (GitHub, Jenkins, TeamCity) and deployment tools (Ansible).• Familiar with Agile and Test-Driven Development (TDD) principles.Preferred Qualifications:• Master's or partial doctorate degree with a focus on robotics, reinforcement learning, or action models is a plus.• Experience in robotic systems integration or robotics-focused software development.• Expertise in data science, algorithms, and AI for robot autonomy, perception, and navigation across various environments (aerial, maritime, ground).
