Senior Quality Manager

Position OverviewOuroboros Space and Defense is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Manager to oversee and actively participate in the quality operations of our AS9100-certified precision machining facility. Our organization manufactures mission-critical components and assemblies for rocket engines, propulsion systems, and advanced spaceflight applications.This position requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage the Quality Management System while working directly with production personnel, engineers, suppliers, and customers to ensure the highest standards of quality, compliance, and manufacturing excellence.The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of aerospace manufacturing quality systems, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and continuously improve the company’s AS9100 Quality Management SystemLead daily quality operations while serving as an active participant in inspection and production support activitiesConduct and oversee:First Article Inspections (AS9102)In-process and final inspectionsNonconformance reporting and corrective actionsCalibration and gauge control programsInternal audits and supplier quality activitiesInterpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirementsCollaborate closely with machinists, programmers, manufacturing engineers, and leadership to resolve quality-related issuesEnsure complete traceability and documentation in Proshop ERP for aerospace and flight-critical hardwareSupport customer audits, regulatory compliance activities, and certification requirementsDrive continuous improvement initiatives focused on product quality, process control, and operational efficiencyTrain and mentor inspection and quality personnelRequired QualificationsMinimum of 7 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing qualityStrong working knowledge of:AS9100 standardsAS9102 First Article Inspection requirementsGD&T interpretationPrecision machining and inspection practicesExperience with inspection equipment including Hexagon CMMs, Programming in PC-DMIS, and standard metrology toolsProven ability to lead quality operations within a manufacturing environmentExcellent organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a high-performance, deadline-driven environmentUS Citizen or Authorized to work in the united states per ITAR regulations.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting rocket engine, propulsion, or spaceflight hardware programsCNC machining or manufacturing backgroundInternal Auditor certificationExperience working with tight-tolerance aerospace components and exotic materialsFamiliarity with ERP and manufacturing quality systemsWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on advanced aerospace and spaceflight hardwareCollaborative and technically challenging environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits packageCareer growth opportunities within a rapidly advancing industry and quickly growing companyDirect contribution to cutting-edge aerospace and propulsion programsApplication InformationQualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume and relevant experience for consideration.
