Analyzes design, specifications, and related documentsPerforms general LAN/CAN/WAN administration. Schedules conversions and cutoversProvide input to the design of the organization's network and mission architectureReports any known or suspected COMSEC incidents immediatelyPerform configuration, test, deployment, and maintenance to all network equipmentConfigure and optimize the network to connect various front-end and back-end componentsMinimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and network performance monitoring toolsDevelops algorithms used in modules or incorporated into models associated with the research and development of technologies and systemsEnsures that all material received is inspected for evidence of tampering and, if any is found, submits a report of suspected physical incident immediatelyConfigure and maintain organization's network diagrams and accreditations.Integrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulationsIntegrate hardware and software to satisfy ISO 9000 requirements and other DoD/IC regulationsDesign, integrate, test, and deploy solutions to established network issuesOptimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow managementCoordinate with appropriate dataflow organizations and end-customer recipients, follow-on data repositories and tasking organizations and mitigate potential adverse impacts on system-wide dataflowImplement specific network solutions to support server requirements to include load ­balancing, VPN's, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), GRE Tunneling, IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT)Coordinate with the system engineering and dataflow efforts to ensure proper mission operations to minimize down timeDesign solutions, integrate, configure, deploy, test and provide ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces and methodologiesGather needed data to specify system/component performance and interface requirements Manage, develop work schedules and direct the work of junior level engineersClearanceA current Top-Secret/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required. Candidates cannot be sponsored or nominated for a government security clearance under this position.ExperienceTwelve (12) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support is required. A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline is required. A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, thereby reducing the total years of experience to six (6). Five (5) additional years of relevant experience providing Network Engineering support may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.Required SkillsDoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher is requiredBenefitsErias Ventures provides a complete package of wealth, health, and happiness benefits.
