Come be your best self at USTA Arkansas!Programs You’ll Work With:Junior Team TennisJunior TournamentsJunior & Beginner ProgramsProviders You’ll Work With:Tennis Directors & ProfessionalsParentsCommunity Tennis AssociationsParks & Recreation DepartmentsWhat You’ll Do: Administer, enhance, and develop junior recreational and competitive play within Arkansas, including tournaments, junior team tennis, and other junior play opportunities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Oversee and administer Junior Tournaments around the stateOversee and administer Junior Team Tennis throughout the state and serve as JTT Coordinator for the central Arkansas areaProvide guidance and support to tournament directors; recruit and train tournament directorsOversee the sanctioning process for Junior TournamentsStay current with rules and regulations at the National, Sectional, and State levelsPlan and administer Rally Cats and Ready to Rally throughout the stateRepresent USTA Arkansas by attending, coordinating, and assisting in workshops, events, or meetings designed to strengthen the local delivery systemProvide on-court instruction for beginner programs (Instructor training will be provided)Other duties as assigned by the Executive DirectorWhat You’ll Need: You will need to have exceptional organizational skills to keep up with the programs happening around the state and the players signing up. All team members must complete and pass the USTA Safe Play Program after the hiring start date, as well as be a current USTA member. Among them, we are a workplace that embraces conscientiousness, creativity, and innovation.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time exempt position. Typical days and core hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This position requires evening and weekend work (as we work when others play), but we have structured our office schedule to be mindful of that.Travel: The position requires travel, including but not limited to meetings, tournaments, events, and workshops within the state of Arkansas and occasionally out-of-state, including on nights and weekends.Supervisors: This position reports to the Executive Director.This position description is not a comprehensive listing of all activities, duties, or responsibilities required.
