Job DescriptionJob Summary Success in this role is defined by collaborating and supporting both Diamond Kinetics' Partnership team and Pittsburgh Pirates Community Engagement teams' efforts to drive brand awareness, and create affinity and fan engagement while using state-of-the-art approaches to game entertainment at PNC Park and other on-site venues. Activations throughout the internship tenure are including (but not limited to) game-day activities, community events, and partnership experiences. Job Timing & Assignment This role will operate during the "Summer of 2025" - with the candidate expected to work an agreed-upon percentage of Pirates home games and community events from the start of May through the end of August. In practical terms, candidates can expect to work between 4-6 hours at 20-40 games/events with other ad-hoc assignments to be identified as the season unfolds and schedules permit. Some flexibility in scheduling by the candidate will be required. Key Responsibilities Under the direction of Diamond Kinetics with input & coordination with the Pittsburgh Pirates: Complete activation setup and clean-up in a timely manner Manage and execute on-site campaigns, events and promotional programs Engage and facilitate the branded experience with a wide-range of fans at various events Interact and educate with fans, distribute marketing materials, and encourage usage of DK products after the initial experience Coordinate with event partner management and staff representing the companies professionally Coordinate weekly schedules to ensure on-site activation staffing at all home games Assist with creating seasonal partnership recaps (ex. compile weekly updates, report on fan traffic and sentiment, take/sort/edit photos that may be used in social media and other promotional channels.) Quickly learn best practices and adapt processes to increase efficiency, customer engagement, and overall brand activation Provide feedback to marketing and tech teams at DK on product performance - along with any recommendations from the field Understand the brand strategy and maintain the brand voice - represent DK is a positive manner For content distribution - adhere to best practices/content internally and seek ways to collaborate with partners (i.e., Pirates social and in-park teams) to help achieve more visibility for the DK activations QualificationsRequired: Authorized to work lawfully in the United States Must be local to the Pittsburgh area Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays Requires reliable self-transportation Very tech-savvy iOS devices, Google Suite, mobile apps Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time in unpredictable weather Excellent communication skills - outgoing personality Desired: Previous experience in a sports industry (marketing or partnerships preferred) Previous event management experience Some depth of baseball hitting/swing concepts Knowledge of the Pittsburgh Pirates Additional InformationThe intent of this job description is to provide a non-exhaustive representation of the type of duties and responsibilities that will be required of the position given this title and shall not be construed as a declaration of the total of the specific duties and responsibilities of any particular position.
