We are currently looking for a Payroll Administrator & Accounting Assistant in our corporate office in Addison, IL. The ideal candidate is someone that can make animmediate positive impact in our organization, with astrong sense of urgency, exceptional attention to detail, and awillingness to go the extra mile to get the job done. Job Duties: Payroll Related: Records, maintains, checks and balances time cards and processes salary and union changes through automated payroll system. Compile time worked from time cards or records to insure that regular hours, overtime, sick pay, vacation, and holidays are calculated correctly. Maintain vacation accruals in payroll and general ledger. Records biweekly payrolls to the general ledger via journal entries which include payroll, taxes and benefits. Coordinate all payroll taxes and filings. Respond to all court assessments for garnishments, QRDOs, tax levy, etc. Calculate terminated employees final paychecks. Prepare annual wage and benefit plans, monitor and analyze monthly and report to management any discrepancy. Deduct, record, remit all union deductions (pension, health, dues, etc), analyze, and maintain related expense and accrual accounts. Compile Monthly commission reports for Account Managers, tracking Earned, Pending and Paid Status Provide analytics of Account Manager Sales/Margin vs. Account Manager Costs Budget, record and analyze workers compensation expense, prepaid and accruals. Prepare, monitor and analyze annual benefit and insurance expense plans on a monthly basis. Review all insurance invoices and approve payment. Record company insurance expense and reconcile accrual accounts. Deduct and monitor employee flexible spending accounts and programs. Accounting Related: Post Daily Cash Transactions from Bank including: deposits, E-payments, posted checks Maintain Rolling Stock Fleet reports, and ensure proper annual licensing and issuance of gas cards for all units Maintain Fixed Asset records, utilizing FAS software, ensuring detail reports agree with GL balances Create/Maintain Capitalized Lease schedules and properly classify monthly Current vs. Long-Term values on Balance Sheet Requirements: Associates degree plus 3 years related experience with payroll and accounting. Good oral and written communication skills. General accounting knowledge. Possess the ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Must have thorough knowledge of payroll tax regulations and ability to meet tight deadlines and ensure accuracy with highly confidential information.
