Business Law Attorney (Full Time Engagement Role; Remote or Hybrid)

Latitude is assisting a well-regarded Portland law firm in identifying a Business Law Attorney for a part-time to full-time engagement role. This role will focus on supporting a range of business clients across commercial transactions, corporate matters, and day-to-day legal needs.The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on a variety of commercial agreements and business matters, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a client-facing role. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with business clients across industries in a dynamic and growing practice.Candidates should have a strong foundation in commercial contracting, corporate governance, and general business law, along with the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities Of Business Law AttorneyDraft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including vendor, customer, services, and partnership agreements Advise clients on general corporate and business law matters, including entity formation, governance, and ongoing compliance Support mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence and transaction documentation Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to clients across industries Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop efficient, risk-based solutions Manage multiple client matters and deadlines effectively Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and thoughtful counselQualifications Of Business Law Attorney Minimum of 3+ years of experience in commercial transactions and/or business law Active bar admission (Oregan or Washington admission a plus) Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements Experience supporting corporate transactions, including M&A and due diligence, preferred Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, client-facing environment Strong attention to detail, organization, and sound professional judgment Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleaguesPosition Details of Business Law AttorneyType of role: Engagement roleSchedule: Part-Time to Full-time Location: Hybrid (two days a week at firm’s Portland, Oregan office) if in Portland or Remote is also acceptableCompensationPay: The annualized pay for this position ranges from $120, 000 to $175,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).Benefits: In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage.
