This role involves developing and implementing inventory policies and procedures to ensure accurate inventory counts, minimize stockouts and excess inventory, and maximize inventory turnover./ph3Duties/Responsibilities/h3pInventory Control:/pulliDevelop and implement inventory control procedures to ensure accurate inventory counts and minimize discrepancies./liliConduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify any discrepancies./liliInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation./liliUtilize Epicor for all core inventory transactions, including part master maintenance, inventory adjustments, transfers, and detailed transaction tracking./li/ulpStock Replenishment:/pulliMonitor inventory levels and forecast demand to determine optimal stock levels and reorder points./liliCoordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to place orders with suppliers and replenish stock as needed./liliOptimize inventory replenishment processes to minimize lead times and ensure timely availability of stock./li/ulpInventory Optimization:/pulliAnalyze inventory data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings./liliImplement inventory optimization strategies, such as ABC analysis, to prioritize inventory management efforts./liliDevelop and maintain inventory performance indicators (KPIs) to track performance and identify areas for improvement./li/ulpSupplier Management:/pulliEstablish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies./liliNegotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize inventory costs and terms./liliMonitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns related to quality, delivery, or pricing./li/ulpProcess Improvement:/pulliIdentify opportunities to streamline inventory management processes and improve efficiency./liliImplement best practices and automation tools to optimize inventory workflows and reduce manual effort./liliCollaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives./li/ulpTeam Leadership and Development:/pulliRecruit, train, and supervise inventory control staff, and cycle counters./liliProvide coaching and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance./liliFoster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among team members./li/ulpCross-Departmental Collaboration:/pulliWork effectively across departments, including Operations, Sales, Finance, and Purchasing, to understand business needs and co-create practical solutions./liliCollaborate with stakeholders to identify inventory-related challenges and develop optimized procedures that support overall company goals./liliFacilitate regular cross-functional meetings and communication to align on inventory strategies, resolve issues quickly, and drive continuous optimization of processes and workflows./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pCompetencies:/pulliExcellent verbal and written communication skills./liliExcellent organizational skills and attention to detail./liliExcellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines./liliStrong analytical and problem-solving skills./li/ulpEducation and Experience:/pulliBachelors degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred)./liliProven experience in inventory management or related roles, preferably in a manufacturing, distribution, or packaging environment./liliStrong hands-on experience with Epicor for inventory control, MRP, and reporting./lili2-4 years of experience./li/ulpPhysical Requirements:/pulliAbility to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time./liliFrequent ability to walk, stand, and navigate the plant floor to locate materials, perform cycle counts, and observe inventory processes./liliMust be able to safely move around the manufacturing environment, which may include climbing stairs, walking on uneven surfaces, and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required./li/ul/div
