Director of Development(Limited duration w/ potential for FTE)Position Type: Part-Time Employee (20-25 hours/week)Compensation: $5,000/mo (or $45,000 for 9 months)Reports To: Executive DirectorLocation: Q Center (4115 N Mississippi Ave, Portland, OR 97217)Benefits include: Medical, Dental, Vision, and PTOPosition OverviewThe Part-Time Director of Development will lead and execute high-impact fundraising efforts, with a core focus on building corporate sponsorships and partnerships through a "Standing on Business" strategy. This includes driving gala revenue growth and securing underwriting, while also optimizing event-based fundraising to maximize overall development impact.Core Responsibilities1. Corporate & Business PartnershipsDevelop and launch a tiered corporate sponsorship programIdentify and prospect 30–50 aligned local/regional businessesSecure sponsorships for galaCultivate ongoing partnership opportunitiesBuild equity-centered partnership messaging2. Gala & Fundraising EventsCreate and execute a revenue plan that secures 60–70% of gala revenue prior to event nightStructure underwriting opportunities and sponsorship packagesSupport live appeal strategy and donor segmentationOptimize table sales strategy for board execution3. Donor Stewardship & RetentionImplement consistent acknowledgement system that can be assigned to a volunteerGenerate new individual and corporate donorsDesign quarterly donor touchpointsDevelop impact messaging aligned with Q Center’s mission and equity values4.
