Senior Principal - Infrastructure Private Equity

We are partnering with an infrastructure private equity platform seeking to hire a Senior Principal as it continues to expand.This role is suited to an experienced infrastructure investor with 10+ years of relevant experience across mid-market Core+, Value-Add, and structured investment strategies who is looking to take on a leadership role spanning origination, execution, fundraising support, and team development.About the Firm The firm invests across the middle market infrastructure landscape through both control and structured investment strategies. The platform takes a hands-on approach to investing, with flexibility across the capital structure and active partnership with management teams on value creation.Key ResponsibilitiesLead deal origination efforts across North America, sourcing opportunities and developing sponsor, intermediary, and management relationshipsDrive full transaction execution, including underwriting, diligence, structuring, negotiation, and closingPartner with portfolio company management teams and internal leadership on post-investment value creation initiativesSupport fundraising efforts through LP engagement, marketing materials, and strategic investor initiativesLead, train, and develop junior investment professionals while helping build team capabilitiesContribute to broader firm strategy, platform development, and investment committee discussionsIdeal Candidate Profile10+ years of infrastructure private equity, principal investing, or related infrastructure investing experienceTransaction experience across Core+, Value-Add, and structured infrastructure investmentsBroad infrastructure sector experience with a generalist approachDemonstrated origination and execution capabilities with sound commercial judgmentPrior exposure to fundraising and LP engagement is beneficialLeadership experience with mentoring and developing teamsCollaborative and entrepreneurial approachRole HighlightsSenior role with responsibility across investing and platform developmentExposure to both control and structured investmentsActive involvement in portfolio and value creation initiativesOpportunity to help develop team infrastructure and internal processesNew York-based position within a middle-market infrastructure platform
