If you are looking to build your career, ready to take on new challenges, and gain the experiences you have always wanted, we want to work with you!ControllerPosition SummaryThe Controller is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial information while maintaining strong internal controls and compliance with accounting policies. This position will lead the day-to-day accounting operations and partner closely with senior leadership to provide financial insight, support business decisions, and improve overall financial performance.The ideal candidate will have prior manufacturing, construction, industrial, or project-based accounting experience and a strong understanding of cost accounting, job/project costing, inventory, budgeting, and financial reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.Direct the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and ensure financial statements are completed accurately and timely.Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial performance metrics.Develop and maintain effective accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow projections, and financial planning activities.Monitor company financial performance and provide management with meaningful analysis, trends, and recommendations.Manage and improve cost accounting and job/project costing processes, including analysis of labor, materials, overhead, and other direct and indirect costs.For manufacturing operations, oversee inventory accounting, standard costs, variances, cycle counts, and inventory valuation.For construction/project-based operations, monitor project profitability, work-in-progress reporting, job costs, billings, retainage, and percentage-of-completion accounting as applicable.Review and analyze gross margins, operating expenses, project performance, and other key financial indicators.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company accounting policies, and applicable regulatory requirements.Coordinate annual audits, tax-related reporting, insurance audits, and other external financial requirements.Work closely with operations, project management, purchasing, sales, and other departments to improve financial processes and business performance.Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting capabilities, efficiencies, and cost controls.Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while establishing clear expectations and accountability.Assist senior leadership with financial modeling, capital expenditure analysis, business planning, and strategic initiatives.Maintain accurate financial records and ensure appropriate controls are in place to safeguard company assets.Perform other financial and accounting duties as assigned.
