Position SummaryThe Supervisor Inflight Base Coordinators is responsible for leading and supporting Inflight Base Coordinator team while driving operational dependability, performance, safety, and engagement initiatives within the assigned base. The Supervisor serves as the first line of leadership support for their crewmembers by coaching, mentoring, and ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and service standards while fostering JetBlue’s culture and values.Essential ResponsibilitiesProvide daily leadership, guidance, and support to assigned BCs to ensure operational excellence and adherence to company standardsMaintain a visible and approachable leadership presence within the base and during operational interactionsConduct regular coaching conversations focused on performance, dependability, customer experience, and professional developmentBuild and maintain positive working relationships with Crewmembers, leadership teams, and support departmentsPromote a culture of accountability, engagement, inclusivity, and continuous improvementMonitor and address dependability, attendance, and performance concerns in a timely and consistent mannerEnsure all Crewmember documentation, coaching records, and progressive guidance actions are completed accurately and within established timelinesMaintain knowledge of FAA regulations, company policies, labor agreements, and Inflight procedures to ensure complianceSupport operational recovery efforts and assist with irregular operations as neededParticipate in audits, investigations, and follow-up actions related to operational or compliance mattersEnsure Crewmembers maintain compliance with safety procedures, onboard service standards, and regulatory requirementsAddress customer service concerns and support service recovery efforts professionally and effectivelyCommunicate operational updates, departmental initiatives, and leadership expectations clearly and effectivelyPartner with Training, Workforce Services, Human Resources, and Operational teams to support business needsFacilitate meetings, base communications, and engagement initiatives to improve morale and teamworkEscalate operational or personnel concerns appropriately and provide recommendations for resolutionMaintain accurate electronic files, reports, attendance tracking, and performance documentationAnalyze trends related to dependability, performance, and operational metrics and recommend corrective actions when necessarySupport staffing initiatives, onboarding activities, and mentoring of new Inflight CrewmembersAssist leadership with special projects, base initiatives, and departmental programs as assignedOther duties as assigned Minimum Experience And QualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Education Development Diploma (GED)Three (3) years related experienceAvailable for occasional overnight travel (10%)Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship Preferred Experience And QualificationsFive (5) years related experienceThree (3) years Supervisory experience Crewmember ExpectationsMust qualify and maintain currency as an Inflight CrewmemberParticipate in JetBlue’s Inflight Leadership Flying ProgramRegular attendance and punctualityPotential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-noticeAble to maintain a professional appearanceWhen working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraftMust fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management SystemResponsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controlsIdentify safety and security concerns, issues, incidents, or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR))Responsible for ensuring crewmembers have requisite training, resources and support to achieve safety objectivesMust be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and FunThe use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.EquipmentComputer and other office equipmentWork EnvironmentCombination of remote, operational, and airport terminal environmentsMay require evening, weekend, holiday, and on-call support based on operational needsPhysical EffortGenerally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently.
