Direct Care Worker
The Direct Care Worker is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and assisting children on a day-to-day basis in his or her assigned program area within the shelter. This includes but is not limited to: constant surveillance of children assigned to his/her program, assure that children are clean, dressed and well groomed, maintaining a clean and safe shelter environment, adhering to established schedules and routines for children, managing children’s behavior in appropriate manner, recording observations in log book, keeping supervisor informed as to behaviors, incidents, and observations regarding the children and facility.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of related experience.
Must complete the following backgrounds: SLED, Central Registry, FBI fingerprints and MVR record.
Must be 23 years old or older.
