Job Description
Overview: CTG is seeking to fill a Cognos Developer position for our client.
Location: Dallas, TX
Duration: 5 months
Duties:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance IBM Cognos reports, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Build and maintain Cognos Framework Manager models and dimensional data structures.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries across relational databases.
- Support Cognos deployments, lifecycle management, and promotion across environments.
- Configure Cognos security and support LDAP/Active Directory integration.
- Develop and maintain TM1/IBM Planning Analytics models and Turbo
- Integrator (TI) processes as needed.
Skills:
IBM Cognos Analytics 11/12, Report Studio, and Framework Manager.
Strong SQL skills with Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.Dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and data warehousing.
Cognos deployment, environment promotion, and security configuration.
TM1/IBM Planning Analytics and TI process development highly preferred.
Experience:
9+ years of hands-on IBM Cognos development experience. Experience developing enterprise reporting solutions and working with relational databases. Familiarity with Cognos lifecycle management and multi-environment deployments.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
