Part Time Clinical Lab Assistant (Phlebotomist)Penn State, University Health Services (UHS) is seeking a Part Time Clinical Lab Assistant (Phlebotomist). The basic functions of the laboratory assistant are to accurately collect and process appropriate patient samples by venipuncture for diagnosis, treatment and prevention of disease and to conduct Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment (CLIA) waived medical laboratory testing.Job Responsibilities include:Perform processing of specimens, sample collection, waived testing, operating standard laboratory equipment, reviewing and processing orders for laboratory testing for patients.Processing, filing and delivering of laboratory reports to include electronic faxing and scanning.Will assist with inventory and stocking of supplies and communicate patient information with the clinical staff and outside providers by telephone.Requires high school diploma.
